Durability above all
The critical point in gaiters is usually the material of the foot fastening system, which varies between elastic, laces, and Kevlar®. However, these materials typically have a limited lifespan. After an exhaustive research process and listening to the needs of runners, at Weis we have opted to incorporate high-tenacity Dyneema® SK78 with a Tuper Paint coating as the definitive solution.

Dyneema® SK78 stands out for its exceptional abrasion resistance, low elongation, and high tensile strength. It is an ultralight material used in high-performance applications, such as racing boats and tugboats. Thanks to these qualities, the TRACE gaiter fastening system offers unparalleled durability against the demands of trail running.

Testing results
In abrasion tests, Kevlar® fiber showed signs of fatigue after 100,000 cycles, losing approximately 20% of its weight. In contrast, Dyneema® SK78 reached 1,000,000 cycles before experiencing the same loss, proving to be up to ten times stronger.

How do I know which foot each gaiter goes on?
- Right gaiter: The pocket for storing the cord, identified with the legend “SOLID CORD”, must be on the outside of the right foot.
- Left gaiter: The pocket for storing the cord, also with the legend “SOLID CORD”, should be positioned on the outside of the left foot.

How to put on gaiters: A step-by-step guide
1. Before putting on your shoes: For greater comfort, place the gaiter over your foot before putting on your shoe.
2. Adjust the laces: Once you have the shoe on, pass the gaiter laces under the sole. Adjust the laces using the toggle and store the excess in the pocket.
3. Stretch and place: Place it by stretching so that the non-slip elastic is over the heel (heel counter of the shoe).
4. Secure with Velcro: Wrap the Velcro around the shoelace to secure the gaiter to the top of the shoe.

This method guarantees a firm and comfortable fit for your activities.
